The program culminated in a group presentation encouraging the teams to research and plan new opportunities for Nexia Australia whilst utilising the network’s comprehensive knowledge and experience. A range of exciting and solutions-driven initiatives were presented to the board of Nexia Australia and New Zealand, including potential new service offerings and solutions.

PERTH
The next solution is coming
The Perth office hosted a Celemi Demo training on 30 January with attendees from Nexia offices in Sydney and Melbourne and representatives chosen from the Perth office. Celemi was an initiative created by the winners of the Nexia Innovation Olympics held in early 2014.
Celemi is a board game simulation aimed at educating the participants on how cash moves around a business and how strategic and operational decisions have an effect on the availability of cash in a business.
With the uncertain economic conditions as Perth’s mining boom slows down, the old adage “cash is king” becomes an extremely important focus on helping clients understand and predict their cash flow, which is our focus. Celemi is one of the tools we will be rolling out to clients in the near future.
SYDNEY
Nexia helps education leaders take the next step
As part of Nexia Australia’s ongoing commitment to the education industry, the Sydney office was privileged to be involved with the Association of Independent Schools (AIS) Leadership Flagship Program and recently presented a Nexia AIS Scholarship to Janet Geronimi from St Columba Anglican School.
The AIS Leadership Centre Flagship Program is a rigorous, holistic program for experienced senior leaders in schools, and is essential to develop confident, competent and visionary educational leaders who will improve the learning and personal growth of students, staff and school communities.
Applications to participate in this yearlong program (which begins in December each year) are encouraged from eligible candidates in all Australian schools. The program, processes and services to schools are soundly underpinned by contemporary theory, delivered by top-level presenters and focus equally on practitioner and academic perspectives.
The Nexia AIS Scholarship offered to a participant from a rural Australian school, is a well valued investment in the future of young people by supporting the development and formation of wise, well-informed and wellprepared educational leaders.
